The 3rd annual Aid & Development Asia Summit will take place on 14-15 June 2017 in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital city of Myanmar. This event will bring together regional and global expertise to discuss innovations and partnerships for aid and development programmes in Asia, with a particular focus on Myanmar. The Summit is an opportunity for knowledge exchange, cross-sector engagement and collaboration between UN, government agencies, local and international NGOs, Red Cross, development banks, investors, associations, media and the private sector.

Topics

This two-day conference allows participants learn about and exchange best practices in the following subject areas: 

  • Agriculture and resilience - innovation, policy, early warning systems, mapping and financing;
  • Infrastructure - strengthening disaster preparedness, disaster and flood risk reduction, the education sector;
  • Health, water, sanitation and hygiene - communicable diseases, maternal and child health;
  • Technology, mobile and data strategies - data to support SDGs, digital strategies, cash-based programmes and financial inclusion.
