India is witnessing growing numbers of urban disasters. Poverty and poor urban management mean that many cities are expanding in an uncontrolled way. This has led to severe social, economic and environmental problems. It is also putting greater numbers of people at risk. For those working with communities, a broader view of risk can help build safer cities.

WHAT: urban risks | disaster development linkages | global frameworks | nature of urban risks | building resilience | urban risk assessments & tools | what csos can do

WHO CAN APPLY: Project managers/coordinators with field and management experience from CSOs across sectors.

HOW: Send in your nomination form to meghna@seedsindia.org and training@redrindia.org latest by 8th February, 2017. The course is free of cost. Selected participants will be informed by 15th February, 2017.
