#IDDR2016 in Ireland: Special event organized by UCD Earth Institute

To mark the 2016 edition of International Day for Disaster Reduction, the UCD Earth Institute is organising four short talks. The event will take place at the University College Dublin O'Brien Centre for Science East, E1.17 SCE at 1-2pm.

The themes that will be discussed are:

  • Tsunamis in Europe, with Professor Frédéric Dias;
  • Drones use for disaster management and humanitarian response, with Dr. Eleni Mangina;
  • Resilience: saving lives today, investing for tomorrow, with AnnaMarie O' Carroll;
  • and Preparedness and Resilience to address Urban Vulnerabilities, with Dr. Pat Gibbons.
