Global Disaster Relief Summit returns to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Centre, Washington D.C. on 7-8 September 2016. Organised by Aid & International Development Forum (AIDF), this high-profile event gathers all actors involved with delivering aid relief and resilience programmes with an aim to address challenges related to enabling quicker and better response during crisis and catastrophes.

Global Disaster Relief Summit 2016 agenda has a focus on building disaster risk reduction, including data collection, GIS and mapping to strengthen resilience and early-warning systems through information sharing.
