About:

RES/CON is an international event on the practice of successful resilience and disaster management in an evolving global environment. Based in New Orleans – recently named the first “Resilient City” in America by the Rockefeller Foundation – the conference goals will be to:

  • Facilitate thought leadership and innovation spanning multiple sectors (government, private sector, NGO, education, etc.)
  • Promote public private collaboration for addressing disaster and resilience challenges
  • Establish the region and Louisiana as the global hub of resilience and a learning laboratory for the world

Mission:

The mission of RES/CON, formerly known as the International Disaster Conference & Expo (IDCE), is to unite expert thought leaders from around the world from business, academia, government, and international organizations to develop best practice and policy information in order for communities and businesses to thrive and achieve resiliency.

RES/CON New Orleans will fill a much needed gap for a space where disaster and resilience management practices are shared with multiple sectors and where global assets and ideas are showcased. New Orleans will be the venue – however, the content will be global.

Who should attend?

RES/CON attendees will represent the multiple sectors involved with resilience and disaster management:
