Plan International Timor-Leste in collaboration with the government (MSS and MoI, Disaster Management Committee), Redcross, OXFAM, IOM, CRS, Care, World Vision, Caritas, Mercy Corps, UNDP and Academia are conducting several events to commemorate IDDR 2015.

Key activities:

  • Speech from Ministry of Social Solidarity (MSS) and Ministry of interior
  • Discussion and sharing of lessons learnt on indigenous knowledge that link to DRR and risk mapping
  • Simulation on early warning systems
  • DRR street drama
  • Tree planting
  • Video screening on disaster education
