This training follows a series of similar sessions around the world for government officials and journalists to help them understand how to better interact to increase disaster risk reduction awareness among the public.

The purpose of this workshop is to train disaster risk reduction (DRR) National Platform representatives on how to promote disaster risk reduction issues through the media at the national level. The training will include a series of sessions, group debates and practical exercises that will help DRR officials understand how media can become a vital partner to promote national policies, programmes and activities.
