Egypt is launching the Egyptian participation in the 'Making Cities Resilient: My city is getting ready' world disaster reduction campaign 2010 with a media event on the international day for disaster risk reduction.

The event will include opening remarks and presentations and will follow with a press conference .Moreover, the occasion will then conclude by a documentary movie about disaster risks as well as measures of risk reduction.

Opening Remarks

- Dr. Magued Osman, Chairman of the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).
- Mr. Amjad Abbashar, Head of UNISDR Regional Office for Arab States, Cairo, Egypt.
- Mr. James W. Rawley, UN Resident Coordinator, Egypt.

Presentations by the Governors:

- H.E Dr. Abd El Azeem Wazir - Governor of Cairo.
- H.E General. Adel labib - Governor of Alexandria.
- H.E General. Mohamed Abd El Fadeel Shosha - Governor of South Sinai.
- H.E General. Abd Galeel El Fakharany - Governor of Ismailia.
