This second conference will focus on practical aspects likely to contribute to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), as a follow-up to the resources acquired during the 1st International Conference.
The main objective of this 2nd International Conference is to create awareness among all organizations working in the Water Sector such as Ministries, donors, Academia, Municipalities, Civic Society, Public and Private enterprises, in the importance of developing and implementing new approaches of intervention and collaboration in the water segment, focusing on sustainable development in rural, semi-urban and urban area.
The Libreville International Water Conference will focus on linking theory and practical aspects on the field, presenting concrete projects implemented in diverse area, to show the effectiveness of some scientific approaches to finding solutions to the Africa Water Sector problems.
Special guests will be from the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW), African Water Facility/African Development Bank, World Bank Water and Sanitation Program, NEPAD’s Water Program, Ministries and other public Agencies in charge of the Water Sector, the North and the South Universities and Research Centers, NGO’s, and Developing Organizations.

The participants will be: scientists coming from academia, public institutions representatives in charge of Water Sector (Ministries, Municipalities), representatives of local, national, regional, and international organizations, and those belonging to the civil society, public and private enterprises, the grassroots users, and any person interested in the Africa Water Sector, coming from Africa and other continents.
