Reducing disaster risk in a changing climate is a major challenge facing a number of countries around the world, not least the developing countries. The endorsement of the Hyogo Framework of Action (HFA) in 2005 by 168 UN member states provided a unique framework for coordinated DRR actions on local, national, regional and international scale. As a follow up of the agreed HFA, the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) has prepared a Global Assessment Report on Disaster Reduction, which will be launched in various cities around the world, including in Oslo.
Registration for the launch can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
