The main objective of the Philippine Tourism Conference on Climate Change (PTCCC) is to provide a venue for tourism and cultural workers and practitioners for vital actors to agree that Philippine tourism climate change adaptation action is a critical developmental concern that needs to be addressed to meet our National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP) and the 2015 MDGs commitments.
The PTCCCA will generate tourism development in terms of infrastructures and practices that comply with the mandates of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 and the Climate Change Act of 2009. This event will enlighten stakeholders, business entities and local government units across the country on scientific adaptation practices to make communities resilient to nature, particularly those engaged in the tourism industry.
The Philippine Tourism Conference on Climate Change (PTCCC) will bring together private sector organizations and companies, research institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) media practitioners, local chief executives, committee on environment, committee on tourism, provincial/city planning & development officers, provincial/city tourism, culture & arts officers, provincial/city disaster risk reduction and management officers and third level officials in the forefront achieving MDGs and ensuring climate change adaptation, civil society leaders, legislative and judicial partners, community practitioners, development and responsible partners.
