Workshop on monitoring framework, Incheon, Republic of Korea

In Mid-December 2010, UNISDR organized a workshop for local authorities of five Asian countries( Nepal, Sri Lanka, Laos, Campodia and Maldives) with the National Emergency Management Agency of the Republic of Korea at the Incheon Global Education and Training Centre.

The workshop assisted the countries in the preparation of national campaign launches aiming at a large number of cities to sign-up to the ten essentials. It also introduced and tested a first version of the monitoring system with indicators to help review baseline and progress in the implementation of the ten essentials and the Hyogo Framework for Action at local level.
