The key purpose of this regional event is to bring governmental representatives, civil society practitioners on one platform to engage in shared learning and shape the issues, challenges, priorities and needs of Children in Disasters in South Asia.

Pillar 2: Developing a Regional Framework for Children and Disasters for application in South Asia
The workshop will develop a South Asia Regional Framework to address the Needs of Children in Disaster and Emergency Situations.

25 senior functionaries of governments and civil society organizations from 8 countries of South Asia who are involved with formulation and implementation of policies, programmes and projects on children shall be invited to attend the workshop.
