Description

As more and more development organisations take on board the impact of climate change in their programmes, this workshop provides an opportunity for practitioners new to community based adaptation to build their capacity, and for those with experience to share findings and discuss emerging issues in this vital area of work. 

The day will be split into morning and afternoon sessions: 

Morning

Presentations on ...
- Community based adaptation in practice
- Concepts and framing CBA
- CBA in the international negotiations 

Afternoon

Presentations on ...
- Ecosystems and adaptation
- Discussion groups on several topics, including CBA in urban contexts; Championing CBA policy in the UK and Europe;
- Climate resilient agriculture to support adaptation and food sovereignty
