Overview of training of teachers in earthquake-affected areas

Working towards the objective of building back a better education system, the UNESCO Earthquake Response Programme (ERP) is supporting the development of training materials and in-service training of teachers in the earthquake-affected areas of North West frontier province (NWFP) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Through these interventions, UNESCO ERP is impacting on an estimated one million school-going children and youth whose education was interrupted on 8th October 2005.
