These proceedings reflect mostly the contributios to the International Conference on training in the field of risk sciences at school level which took place in sofia, Bulgaria, on 20-22 March, 1997. Its objectives were to compare educational policies in the field of risk prevention training, defining development trends in Europe and worldwide, examine the initiatives undertaken in this field, focusing on different age groups, exploring the potential for training in risk prevention of teachers, to present the possibility for use of contemporary education tools and the media in the process of risk prevention training, and make recommendations for educational strategies in the field of risk prevention training at school.
