This illustrated booklet for 8-9 years' old children gives a definition of a tsunami or a tidal wave and advice on what to do whether on the beach, at home or at school. It ends with a drawing game for the youngsters, and a crossword puzzle as a tool to memorise the contents of the booklet. Boyarin has a sister: Boya Dart (Tsunami Detection and Reporting system) which monitors sea level variations in Chile, thus contributing to tsunami detection. The data collected is sent by satellite to the sHOA (serv. Hidrogr fico y Oceanog. de la Armada de Chile) in charge of the national tidal wave warning system. (UNEsCO)
