Education, organisation, and community preparedness for disaster reduction

This Book aims to develop a methological and teaching concept based on the participation, collective system approach of experiments, and knowledge of the vulnerability of the rural or urban population of Central America and the Caribbean. To prepare the communities to disasters, they are requested to review the disaster history of the area, to determine statistics of the various phenomena occuring within a year and, once acquainted with a certain terminology, what measures should be taken to reduce risks.
