NEA crisis communications guide and toolkit provides resources to empower members facing crises and to guide their school communities toward hope, healing, and renewal. It was drafted with the direct input of state and local association staff who want others to benefit from the difficult lessons they have learned.
This guide provides tool to help members achieve three basic objectives: to improve organization’s ability to respond in a crisis by supporting planning and preparation, to come to the immediate aid of affected and vulnerable students, staff, and community members, and to vigorously advocate for children and school staff in healing and rebuilding.
