National guidelines for school disaster safety

The national guidelines support school principals and safety teams in Sri Lanka in implementing emergency management and safety plans in their schools. This process contains 7 steps with the following activities: creation of school safety team, awareness sessions, hazard/vulnerability assessment, emergency plan, mock drill, up-dating the emergency plan.

Includes government and counterpart actors, school safety tools, do's and don'ts before and during disasters, hazards calendar, evacuation maps, and more.
