The programme is structured to appeal to medical, public-safety and defence professionals working in the public and private sectors. The programme is conveniently offered in a flexible, distance learning format that involves a one-week summer, intensive, on-campus experience that includes role-playing seminars, disaster drills and a table-top exercise. The certificate program is meant for professionals looking for a less intensive educational experience. Ten courses will be offered entirely in a distance-learning format. Students will be required to attend one 5-day, on-campus, summer seminar that will include live lectures, hands-on-skills labs, role-playing seminars, disaster drills and a table-top exercise.
