Description

This programme is designed to better equip professionals in their roles as mid to senior level managers from the public sector, private sector and non-profit-organizations. This includes existing leaders or those who aspire to become disaster management and emergency services professionals. The program teaches learners how to assess, prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from traditional natural environmental disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, floods and droughts; and human-induced disasters such as pandemics and health risks; and new, emergent threats such as bio-chemical, nuclear and cyber-terrorism. The two-year program offered Through a combination of residency courses and on-line courses. After nine month course in India, the participants are required to do Research Project in their respective countries with a view to transfer the technology in his/her organisation.

University Educators and Researchers, Natural Resources and Environmental Management Professionals and Specialists.

Admission Requirement

Master's degree in Science or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification relevant to the field of study followed by a minimum of 5 years of research/working/ teaching experience in any field of natural resources or environment, e.g. forestry, agriculture, land use, water resources, environmental analysis, geology, oceanography etc. (For candidates with higher qualification, the minimum experience may be relaxed). Graduate level knowledge in mathematics and statistics is also required Applicants are required to submit TOEFL score or a diploma/certificate of English language issued by an accredited language institution or by the local UNDP upon satisfactory establishment of the applicant's competence in spoken and written English language. Preference will be given to those who secure high score in TOEFL examination.

Application Procedure

Duly filled application form, Proof of funding source, i.e. sponsorship by national government or parent universities / institution, Attested certified copies of required certificates in English, Proof of English proficiency. Completed Application Forms should be sent through the Embassy/High Commission of the respective Country in New Delhi, India to Director, CSSTEAP. However, an advance copy of the application form signed by the sponsors may be sent to the Director, CSSTEAP for taking necessary advance action.

Scholarship

The participants are expected to find suitable sponsorship for meeting the expenses. Government of India offers to bear the course fee for participants from Asia-Pacific region and provide limited number of fellowships.

USD 8300.00 complete fees.
