Summary outcomes and priority directions: views from the frontline – 2013

This document is part of a public monitoring of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) implementation, launched in 2009 by the initiative of Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR). The main goal of ‘Views from the frontline’ is to support the effective implementation of the HFA to build the resilience of vulnerable people and communities at-risk to disasters.

Focusing on Georgia, this issue presents the results of a survey carried out in 11 municipalities of five regions, gathering information form 201 respondents and five participating organizations. It is intended to support a national, regional and local interest in the way to enhance the preparedness and disaster management skills aimed to mitigate the impact of disasters and consequences which are dramatically increased over the years.
