This summary report addresses the need to make cities and communities in Brazil more resilient to the impacts of natural disasters through organization and preparation. Issues addressed: (i) community civil defense centers in vulnerable communities; (ii) sensitization of families and training young people; (iii) guidelines for sustainability, fight against poverty, and humanitarian action; and (iv) project strategies.
