GSDMA contracted SEEDS to implement the project: “Training of Trainers on Disaster Risk Reduction” under the Gujarat School Safety Initiative (GSSI). The project envisages the training of teachers in each of the 25 districts of the state and developing textbooks on disaster awareness for students of classes VII, VIII and IX.
In this report, the progress of the project in October 2006 is discussed. Detailed reports on district level trainings will be available separately.
