This report contains a summary of the work carried out in 2011 during a one-year project on space-based information for crowdsource mapping to identify specific actions that could ensure closer cooperation in the framework of the UN-SPIDER programme, including the organization of two international expert meetings with the support and cooperation of the Government of Austria and the Secure World Foundation. It reports on targeted opportunities for making space-based information available for disaster risk reduction and emergency response.
