The report of the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability:

This report contains 56 recommendations to put sustainable development into practice and to mainstream it into economic policy as quickly as possible. It includes a call for governments and international organizations to increase the resources allocated to adaptation and disaster risk reduction and integrate resilience planning into their development budgets and strategies.

The overall report contains six sections: (i) The Panel’s vision; (ii) Progress towards sustainable development; (iii) Empowering people to make sustainable choices; (iv) Working towards a sustainable economy; (v) Strengthening institutions; and (vi) Conclusion: A call for action. The Summary of Sections and the Call for Action are taken from the report’s Executive Summary. The Panel’s recommendations are reproduced in full.
