Reducing disaster in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia: case study


This case study describes how community managed disaster risk reduction has led to landslides and floods resilient communities. It also describes how capacity building efforts led to the creation of alternate livelihoods and how the local government has been involved in disaster risk reduction.
