This publication presents discussions on the key role of Australia's National Reserve System in enabling biodiversity, native plants and wildlife to adapt to and survive climate change.
It is a compilation of the proceedings of a World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature World Commission on Protected Areas (IUCN-WCPA) symposium, 18-19 June 2007, Canberra, where scientists, non-governmental and governmental experts were brought together to find ways for Australia to become a global leader in providing nature the best chance of adapting successfully through a climate change rescue package for biodiversity.
The papers presented here cover management, regional and reserve system planning issues.
