UN General Assembly 67th session: Statement delivered at the General Debate - Viet Nam

A statement delivered to the 67th General Assembly annual General Debate by the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, in which he reaffirmed Viet Nam's strong political commitment to ensure the realization of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the promotion of inclusive sustainable and green development, and the effective response to natural disasters and climate change. He called on the United Nations to strengthen global partnerships for development and take the lead in an inclusive process to formulate the post-2015 global development agenda, including the proposed sustainable development goals. In this regard, he urged developed countries to fulfill their pledge for increased development assistance and support developing countries in capacity building.
