UN General Assembly 67th session: Statement delivered at the General Debate - Fiji

A statement delivered to the 67th General Assembly annual General Debate by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Fiji, noting that the international failure to address climate change meant that all countries would experience more frequent and intense weather events, which would erode development gains and leave people feeling less secure. “We feel particularly vulnerable”, he stressed, calling for disaster-risk reduction to be integrated into global and national development strategies.
