UN General Assembly 67th session: Statement delivered at the General Debate - Panama

A statement delivered to the 67th General Assembly annual General Debate by the President of Panama. He highlighted his country's economic growth, which allowed the allocation of resources to confront the threats of climate change, and called for all to be more responsible. He said that Panama will keep advocating for the international community to work on an institutional multilateral structure that reinforces the right of all people to have a planet with an environment that allows the development of a healthful and peaceful life. He also insisted on a new high level forum of the General Assembly on the protection of the environment.
