India: National disaster management guidelines - Role of NGOs in disaster management

These guidelines intend to facilitate greater coordination between NGOs and Government institutions during various phases of the disaster management cycle, within the framework of the Disaster Management Act 2005 (India). They explore the scope, potential and opportunities for NGOs to mainstream disaster risk reduction into their developmental activities.
