Andean strategy for disaster prevention and relief

Andean council of foreign affairs minister's proposal for the update of decision number 591:

The member countries see the adoption of common external policies as a decisive mechanism of influence on international decision organizations and forums to make sure and incorporate in their agendas the subregion’s interests on matters of prevention.

This strategy is the result of the work performed in the subregion, with the participation of 280 entities and over 450 national technicians, in work meetings and specialized discussions, in a process which has been carried out in each member country by the entities responsible for disaster prevention, planning, civil defense and the Foreign Affairs Ministries.
