Philippines: hospitals conduct earthquake drills

An earthquake drill was carried out this morning by the Department of Health (DOH), Region 8, as part of the activities of National Disaster Consciousness Month, aimed at better preparing hospitals in case of earthquakes. The DOH, through the Health Emergency Management Staff, is coordinating a joint effort with the region's hospitals to conduct earthquake drills. The drills should enable hospitals to measure their readiness in times of earthquake.
