Ghana: educate communities on floods

Minister of the Interior, Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor urged all stakeholders to ensure that communities living on the banks of the White Volta river and its tributaries are not affected by floods when water is released from the Burkinabe dams between now and September.

With the rise in the incidence of disasters around the world, the Ghanian National Disaster Management Organization has shifted focus towards disaster prevention, said their National Coordinator.
