More than 20 students from disaster-prone states in India took part in the launch of a national platform to promote child participation in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) program, reports Cathnews India. "Children should be active participants in DRR effort. At home or at school they should know how to protect themselves during natural calamities like earthquakes, floods and cyclone," said Margarita Tileva, chief, emergency solution UNICEF.
