Gambia: 'Social work' students sensitised on disaster prevention, mitigation

A lecture by the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) held at the University of the Gambia's faculty of Law gave social workers an insight of disaster prevention and mitigation management, reports All Africa. North Bank Region's disaster coordinator Poulo O.N. Joof defined the concepts of disaster, disaster management and recovery, and appealed to participants to reduce disaster risks with better preparation.
