Madagascar is famous for its wildlife and natural beauty, but though it may seem like a tropical paradise, the island is prone to major tropical cyclones and severe droughts. In order to help reduce the vulnerability of people living on the island, UNISDR chose Madagascar as the first French-speaking country to receive a French language field library for disaster reduction.
The film describes UNISDR's field library project and how it will help the community of Malgache become more resilient against disasters.
Available in English and French.
