Mission & Disaster Reduction Profile
alpS research investigates how global climate change affects regional and local human-environment systems in mountain regions.
We develop innovative, marketable technologies and strategies for a sustainable adaptation to climate change. These include innovations for early warning and monitoring systems for the prevention of natural disasters, tools for modern risk management as well as concepts for adapted land-use, water resource and forestry management.
We support decision makers, institutions and businesses on the basis of our scientific expertise in risk management for municipalities as well as regional energy development strategies.
