The National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Management is the entity responsible for the coordination of prevention work on risk and for the mitigation and response to emergency situations (Article 19 of the Legislature). The development of the National Law for Emergencies, on the 14th of August 1969, was the foundation for the National Commission.
