Tsunami and Disaster Mitigation Research Center (TDMRC)
Organization Profile
Mission
Since it was established three years ago, TDMRC has conducted various activities related to disaster at local, national and international level.
Recently, TDMRC has conducted tsunami modelling training where experts from several universities in Sumatra participated and tsunami drill for the community and students from several different Kabupatens and Kotas in Aceh in collaboration with PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) and Sea Defence Consultant. Besides, TDMRC has also participated in designing disaster awareness modules for teachers at elementary school level by providing disaster related materials which were used in designing the modules.
