The APEC Leaders' growth strategy

The APEC Leaders have agreed on a growth strategy which includes preparation for emergencies and natural disasters though: (i) helping economies to better understand disasters' economic and social costs; (ii) identifying gaps in disaster risk reduction approaches in the region; and (iii) develop practical mechanisms to maximize business and community resilience, bearing in mind the Hyogo Framework for Action while encouraging the use of ICTs.
