Ancient tsunami records

This video reveals the results of a research, published by Nature, aimed at investigating sedimentary layers to discover traces of past tsunamis, such as the one that devastated southeast Asia in 2004. Thanks to the data collected it has been possible to propose new hypothesis about the return period of such major catastrophic events, providing essential information to better manage future tsunami risk.
