Turkey: More disaster-resilient schools for Syrian refugee children

1 Nov 2017, WB

Turkey plans to provide all refugee children with educational opportunities by the end of 2017. However, many refugee communities are located in seismic risk zones, presenting a significant risk to school safety. The World Bank aims to build 56 disaster-resilient educational facilities to enhance school safety and encourage continued education among refugees.
