Sri Lanka struggles to adapt as disasters become a new "normal"

Despite increased frequency of disaster events in Sri Lanka, early warning systems and evacuation centers have yet to be set up by the government. Efforts are underway to coordinate the work between governmental departments, as working in silos appears to be one of the factors hindering policy implementation.
