In the midst of Chile’s worst forest fires, award-winning local campaigners have spotlighted the need to ensure that people with disabilities are not forgotten in emergency operations and disaster risk reduction. Chilean NGO Inclusiva estimates that more than 630 people with disabilities have been affected, with over 175 of them having to take refuge in shelters.
