Central African lawmakers step up disaster risk reduction

Nearly two disasters of significant proportions have been recorded every week in Sub-Saharan Africa since 2000, with around 12.5 million people per year affected. Members of parliament from across Central Africa are stepping up their region’s drive to curb the impact of natural and man-made hazards by implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
