Pothole plagued Harare seeks to build climate-resilient roads

26 Jul 2017, TRF

The asphalt road network of Zimbabwe's capital Harare, already in poor condition with many potholes, is expected to become even worse with the increasingly frequent floodings. Concrete roads have been identified by engineers and city planners as the best long-term solution, a one-time investment with little or no maintenance required.

UNISDR-Africa calls for contributions on good practices and lessons learned from youth engagement and related activities in the field of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
