Concept note

  • Recovery capacity continues to be stunted by gaps in preparedness, a lack of clear strategies, and a failure to integrate disaster risk reduction. There is a clear need to pursue increased operational capacity and improved application of lessons learned in order to ensure that disaster-affected countries and communities alike are able to achieve sustainable and resilient recovery outcomes.
